Technological developments have been evolving in the last few centuries. Technology has provided tools which are communication devices to keep in touch with each other. For example, the invention of the telegraph , the radio, which has played  major role in technology evolution for 100 years ,the television that came after the radio, which has played  a role for 80 years on the radio and finally technology has provided us the telephone and the internet that has been using globally across the world. On top of that, these communication devices are designed not just to keep in touch only, but to share opinions and feelings via devices such as mobile phones and computers.

The objective  of this research is to raise the awareness of communication devices impacts and how these devices can play positively a major  role in our daily life and help disabled people to tackle or overcome their issues, particularly people who are deaf (person who has a serious issue in listening  and unable to respond or speak ).

The impacts of communication devices across the globe are vast. These devices can transmit data from one device to another in a second for example If you need to speak with an employee who is travelling in another country you can use an email or Skype software to contact with people around the world face to face. Social Media is an essential way that helps individuals, businesses and computers specialists in their workplace.Social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have allowed people to rekindle friendships, make new friends and gain interests.

Communication devices can play a huge part in a disabled people, that could turn completely their lives into a positive way, For example, assistive devices which are devices that can help a person to hear or understand what is being said clearly or express thoughts easily. Assistive devices such as, Assistive listening devices(ALDs), which increases the sound you want to hear, particularly when there is a lot of background noise. Augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC) which help people with communication disorders to express themselves. Altering devices which connect to a doorbell, telephone or alarm that waft a loud sound or blinking light to let someone with hearing loss know that an event is taking a place.

Although communication devices have been progressing throughout the years. There is no doubt that it should have ethics that must be considered in terms of accessibility, privacy and security. Devices such as, computers or smartphones should be used in a way that can help organisations, society and individuals not to destroy them. For example, the use of social network might expose the user to some other users with wrong intentions to use your data, also some companies can spy their employees through these social networks.

To sum up this research, I have spoken about the history of communication devices along with the purpose of the research as well as, I provided some examples to support the evidence that I mentioned.Therefore, I hope the research informed readers about impacts of communication devices and achieved the targets of its chosen.
