Vaccum tube technology began in 1920 when the device enables to increase the sound level by 70DB.These sound levels were accomplished as result of that Vaccum tube controlled the flow of the electricity better than carbon, but the problem was in the size because these devices used to be large, Similarly the size of a filing cabinet, so they were not portable.
In 1924, the size of the Vaccum tube hearing aids had been reduced so it can fit in a small wooden box with a receiver that the user held up to the ear.Despite the developments, they were still heavy, bulky and visible and amplified all sound, not just the sounds the user wants to hear.
Personally, this information made me think specifically about the size o the device that I would like to design, which in my view it should be small similar to a ball where you can put it in the ear of the person who has the hearing loss issue.
